Charlie had to revise his taxes, yet again. It would seem that the guy who is the chairman of the committee that writes the tax code can’t figure it out himself. OK, that’s definitely not the problem — he knew what he was doing. What an arrogant SOB. This WSJ article shows that he claimed his net worth to be half of what it actually is.

You have to ask yourself, what did this guy do to amass all of this money? You can read his personal story on his website. He was in the military, earned a law degree and then went to DC in 1971 and has been there ever since. ‘Public servant’ for 38 years and developing a net worth (as of 2007) of, potentially, $2.495 MILLION? Now do you see why these politicians spend all this time, millions of dollars of their money, as well as campaign dollars and effort to get a job that pays $174,000 a year. It seems to me that these guys are GROSSLY OVERPAID!!!
